FIRST GRADE ROUTINE

      The Centerville First Grade core program includes instruction in Reading, Math, Spelling, VoWac (phonics), Handwriting, Social Studies, and Science/Health.  These classes take place in the regular classroom.

     In addition, instruction is given in Vocal Music, Physical Education, Art, Guidance, Computer, and Library Skills. 

     The following is a schedule showing our routine throughout a school day:

  8:15 - 8:45   Opening activities (attendance, flag pledge, journal
                         work, show and tell, etc.)

  8:50 - 9:45   Reading class

  9:45 - 10:00   Morning recess

10:00 - 10:25   Computer/Activity time

10:25 - 11:10   Math class

11:10 - 11:55   Lunch/Recess

12:00 - 12:30   Storytime/Individual reading time
